ice thickness at lockport

can anyone tell me what the ice condition is like at Lockport

It's horrible. 2-5ft high ice jams from the locks to a few hundred yards out. High possibility of it being unfishable for the year. Especially with a shack.

I will confirm the above.  I dove by today, basically there is frazzled/ice chunks frozen everywhere with open spots flowing.  Even the best auger would break something before it got thru.  I would not risk breaking my ankles walking on that let alone my life - it looked that scary. I also drove down River Road to where it turns back to Main street, just as bad as far as I could see.  Even when I got to the FPB, there was still a lot of frazzled ice, but not nearly as bad.  Snowmobiles will have a very hard time on the Red this year.

i second bb400guy, ice in lockport is horrible. fpb is pretty rough too but you can drill holes without braking your auger. we had 9-10 inchs of ice
