Ice conditions

Hey everyone. Just got back from a 2 week vacation with no internet and wow what a difference in weather!! Is ice safe yet? Anyone been out? Mainly looking to hit the river and ice thickness info would be appreciated for the red river or lake Winnipeg.

Saw a truck on the river sunday at cil road. Dont think i would have been on the ice yet

8-10 inches reported on the lake, pretty smooth travel once past the usual areas with frazil ice. Same on the river. Use caution and check for yourself!

12" thick at cil today , few trucks and vans were on the ice
