Very cool! Is that one of the ponds in Arcadia? If it is the one I am thinking of, is it accessible only with 4WD?

Curious how close you can get with a vehicle. I see there are trails around it. Are vehicles allowed on these trails? Sorry for the newbie questions.

Was there yesterday looking only skim ice ....as for driving in all good unless we get a foot of snow locals  plow sometimes but never had any trouble getting in

i went to breakheart yesterday. i drilled a few holes. edges are weak but about 4 inches 15 feet off shore.

I was kidding. Just funny that one guy says "skim ice only" and the other guy says "4 inches". Did you use a ladder? How did you get 15 feet to the good ice?

I walked through the slush. Then drilled every 5 feet. I'll be there tomorrow morning with my girls. Look for the eskimo hut and flags firing off. Tight lines

Checked Breakheart... its a mess about 3" but slushy its 43 here now
