Lowrance Elite or Hook users.....
« on: Dec 13, 2016, 05:57 PM »
Question for you...  Do you have to adjust the sensitivity if you go between the sonar and flasher?  Using mine Sunday I had a great sonar image, but had to jack up the sensitivity for the jig to show on the flasher.  Doing that made the sonar too "busy."  Fun unit, prefer the ICE55 for hole hopping, but the Elite was dandy once you had your spot.

Play with the noise reduction and see if it clears out the clutter.

I like using the split screen graph mode over the flasher.

I have the same issue with my Elite 4. Unless I have a big jig on, its basically non existent on the flasher. I really like the sonar view myself. Haven't been using the flasher much.

I only use the graph mode on my elite 5. I just adjust the sensitivity until the jig is barely visible. Ping speed on fast as well..

I like the flasher mode on my Elite-5. I haven't had to adjust the sensitivity. It is set on automatic. I've fished with it next to my Marcum Showdown and haven't had any issues on wither unit.

be careful when turning on surface clarity it will make small jigs disappear. If you need to use noise rejection only use low. Both will make it harder to see small jigs. Keep autosensitivity on and you can still tweek sensitivity. Flasher is of on these units but I only use it in 15fow max, I don't think it works as good as a normal flasher. Graph mode is way better on these units. I have the elite 4x ice machine but they all work basically the same.
