your join date is in a summer month,
you start prepping for the season when the birdbath freezes up,
you get excited when you find out the store clerk forgot to put the icefishing stuff away for the summer,
you dream more about bent rods and flags then you do about girls.

When buying tools, a prerequisite is how can it be used on the ice. Drills,radios, lights, fans,batteries and such.

You might be an ice fisherman if....

After the wife falls deep asleep, you clean some of your ice fishing equipment by running it thru the dishwasher.

After checking to see if she's still asleep, you set up your pop up shelter in the living room.

After you once again test to see if she's sleeping (Hey honey, I've had an affair with the young good looking wife across the street, you know the one you hate for no reason?)......if no response, then ur good to grab her fancy glitter nail polishes and repaint your old chipped up jigs.

While you wait for those jigs to dry, you and the cat sit in the pop up shelter and play with the custom fishing rods you just bought for this upcoming season - the ones that your wife will never ask "How much did those new rods cost?" because she has zero clue about any of your fishing stuff and couldn't tell an old rod from your 4 new ones.

Okay, I gotta go, I think my "better half" $:-\$ is waking up and I either got to quickly clean A LOT of stuff up or have a very distinguished gentlemanly conversation with her "At least you didn't catch me looking at porn.......yet."

400 miles for me but have wanted to go to it for a few years. made a weekend getaway with the mrs. and she went x mas shopping and i just drooled over some stuff and drank beer. was a win win. stayed at the holiday inn right across the street so was within walking distance. had a blast.

I like it, I dream of a resort with a dock matrix that allows you to fish through or over the side of the dock like ice fishing all year!!!!!

Had many a dream just like this. Usually drilling holes in the floor of the house or in the yard, even through concrete!
