Lake of the Woods and Waubay trip planned
« on: Dec 04, 2016, 07:02 PM »
Just booked 8 man sleeper house on Lake of the woods Jan 14. We will fish there til 19th with a possible bombardier slab crappie venture mixed in there too. Then head south to Waubay/Watertown glacial lakes area where we have family and friends to nail jumbo perch and the eyes. Bought insulated Yukon today to go along with Clam Bigfoot hub to move around and find em. Cannot wait. Two brothers and cousin will be there representing 4 different states.
We may have a spot or two open if anyone wants to take a heck of a trip. All great guys who love to fish and consume a "few" barley bevs.

You are going to love the Waubay area.

We have been there the past 3-4 years and the fishing has always been good....Lots of water to cover there.

Yea I usually go a couple times a winter and then again in the spring and summer. Talked to friend in Watertown today and he will have his perm out by then too. All he does is work and fish and has all the toys to get where need be when snow gets deep.. He has put us on fish to where we were catching all over the slot of 20" for eyes but just a blast. I've watched trout through the holes but nothing beats watching schools of walleyes swim through your holes at 10 feet deep. Cool as hell.
