Was out Saturday and managed 9 perch all day. Try again next Saturday.
Good things come to those who bait.....My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.

Anyone on this lake try fishing the depths?  Like 50-100+ FOW?  I have never tried but I gotta think there would be some really big fish down in those depths.
Get outside.  It does a body and mind good!

Anybody been out to Coteau lately. Haven't been able to make it out for a while and was wondering how the bite was?

Spent the day in my shack at Coteau. Seen a few walleye and about a dozen perch. Landed one dogfish. Pretty slow day!  >:(

One 13lb pike, a few smaller ones, lost a big rainbow and burbot at the hole. Also saw a very large walleye on cam but not interested in what I had. Lots of action on the tip ups but not alot of hard hits.

Was out Friday. 2 perch , 1 rainbow 22", 1 eye 18". Fished 11:00-5:30. Nice day. Very little wind and nice temps. I want to state that my  driver side tires broke through in Coteau east shore from boat launch. I put a pylon where it happened. Ice is inches thick just off shore not deep but could f your truck up. Careful out there.

Was out yesterday saw a few walley and a couple of whitefish. Hooked up with a big pike but lost him at the hole and we caught one dogfish. We were fishing just outside of elbow.

Wind was gusty. Fishes were aggressive once I found them in the afternoon.

We were out on Friday fishing in 20 ft, 1/2 kilo. SW of the Danielson campground launch. Caught 6 nice perch, a couple close to 14 inches. Also 2 walleye, and 3 burbot. All caught on jigged lines with meal worms.
The worst day fishing is better than the best day at......heck! you guys already know that!

Fished yesterday and between my group and my buddies set up right next to us we managed 4 burbot, 3 walleye, a few nice pike and a few eaters, and a rainbow trout. Started off fishing in 10ft, nothing but the same whitefish and a few inactive pike. Moved out to 36-40 feet and immediately hooked up with a nice 22" walleye. Minutes later, a 23 inch skinny walleye. Got 2 more burbot from the deeper water, one was a nice 32". UV buckshots were the ticket. Managed the smallest burb of the day on a 10" smelt in 10 feet of water closest to dark. Also got a pike about 9lbs on a small minnow in 40 feet

My largest group to this lake are my little boy and me. Diefenbaker rarely has super slow time.

Ice is still over 2 feet. We caught mostly whitefish at 15-20 feet of water this afternoon.

Hey BigO, your mail box is full.

This morning to noon, we only caught one walleye, and missed a few whitefish at 15-20 feet of water.

I was out the past couple of days outside the Harbour. Everything is frozen up after the melt last weekend. Little snow on the ice and very slippery. Still about 2' of ice. No problems.

This gives me the itch to head out again. Burbs are some of the best to eat. I hope I have the same luck as you next weekend. Well done!

Glow in the dark hooks and chum sucker or smelt and night fish burbot are more active in hours of darkness. Back in the day we had a derby catch hundreds in a weekend

Hi 360fisher,
Check out the burbot area of IceShanty, lots of good info on how to catch them in there. ;)
