What type of rod and reel set up is everyone using for lakers? Got an itch for new pole!

That ht  or the Jason Mitchell mackinaw lake trout rod ? I prefer the ht my self but if looking for new poles that are top dollar jm poles are that..

I like my ice blue spin rod an built a laker rod off a fiber glass 4 foot pole by substituting a couple road guides an eyelet.

I use my pike rig mostly- a 6' 6" medium action Diawa with a Diawa Revros 4000 and 10 lb mono.

At times I use a baitcasting rig for spring/fall trolling or a short, heavy action rod with baitcast reel for downrigging.
