Pre-Ice Humpbacks

The humpbacks have been going pretty good the last few days, looks like maybe a week or 2 before the lake starts to freeze. Feel so bad the last few days (sick) can't even go fishing.  Fish were 11 3/8" to 12 5/8" kept a few smaller that swallowed the hook . Thanks Mark for posting the pics.

Slow on the humpbacks, only managed one yesterday and one today.  Hopefully do better before the big storm this coming  weekend.

Not bad. Looks like a bonus eater walleye too!

2 humpbacks today,  12" and 12 1/2" and 5 10". The fillet board is 12" deep, the eater walleye was 16 1/4", bigger than most eaters.

Thanks Mark for posting the pics again. I'll get the picture thing hopefully soon and getting a new phone too. Lots of perch this morning 50 ish,  kept 3 just over 10" and 1 12+". Probably done till ice up, this front is really going to throw a wrench into them.

There is still hope for more humpbacks from what I saw this afternoon.

Well today turned out awesome weather wise, and the humpbacks played their part. Ended with 7 sows 1 - 11"+ and 4 just over 10".  What a great fall for Iowa Humpies !!!  The number of up and comers looks great too, I would guess I threw back 25 or so today.
