12THANNUAL LONG LAKE ICE FISHING DERBY
JANUARY 28TH&29TH, 2017
DERBY RULES & REGULATIONS
• All Maine residents (16 yrs& older) must possess a valid Maine fishing license. Non-residents (12 and older) must possess a valid Maine fishing license.
• The derby starts at 12:01 AM on Saturday January 28, 2017.
• Only fish caught in Long (St. Agatha, T17R3, T17R4, Madawaska), Cross, St. Froid, Square, Eagle, Glazier, Beau&Portage Lakes, Carr Pond and St. John River will be eligible for derby prizes. All State of Maine ice fishing regulations pertaining to these lakes and waters will apply.
• “Base Camp” and weigh station (FOR SALMON, BROOK TROUT, TOGUE, CUSK & PERCH) is the Long Lake Sporting Club, 48 Sinclair Road, Sinclair, ME. (207) 543-7584.
• All derby fish categories,EXCEPT MUSKIE caught in Beau or Glazier Lake and the St. John River must be registered and weighed at “Base Camp”, Long Lake Sporting Club.
►CROSS LAKE IN T18R10 IS NOT AN ELIGIBLE DERBY LAKE◄
• Weigh station for MUSKIE ONLY is Joe’s Country Store, 1005 Main Street, St. Francis, ME. (207) 398-4172. ABSOLUTELY NO MUSKIEARE TO BE TRANSPORTED TO “BASE CAMP” (Long Lake Sporting Club).
• Anglers registered for only one day must register and weigh fish at proper weigh station on identified day selected on registration form.
• All fish will be registered by weight. (Should 2 fish weigh the same, the fish that measures the longest will be the winner).
• Derby officials must witness all weigh-in and measurements of fish.
• Weigh stations will be open at 7:00 AM and close at 5:30 PM sharp on both days.
• Pre-Registrations are allowed at all Registration Outlets until they are collected by Derby officials on Saturday morning, January 28, 2017. After all outlets have been collected, Saturday & Sunday registrations will only be accepted at the Long lake Sporting Club, 48 Sinclair Road, Sinclair, ME.
• Participants are not required but are encouraged to be present at awards ceremony.
• All awards will be presented at 6:30 PM sharp on Sunday, January 29that “Base Camp”.
• All decisions made by Long Lake Ice Fishing Derby officials are final.***Ifdeemed necessary,
any registered or weighed fish may be confiscated, opened and inspected by Derby Officials***
• ALL FISHERMEN: ANY FISH CAUGHT, REGISTERED, AND/OR CONFISCATED WILL COUNT TOWARDS YOUR LEGAL POSSESSION LIMIT!!!!
All anglers registering fish will be obligated to sign an Affidavit Form certifying; Derby registration, date of catch, responsibility for catch, type of fish, lake, and approximate time of catch.
