« on: Nov 04, 2016, 05:28 PM »
CT has the ice fishing stuff out... no new stock yet but...

Ice augers are on clearance for:

Eskimo Shark z51 - 389$
Rapala Enduro 51cc  - 377$
Polar Fire 33cc - 277$
Jiffy 4G lite - 422$

After looking at used augers on kijiji for $300+ I grabbed one of the Eskimo Sharks!!  😁

Goood Choice,  I`ve had one for 5 years now and no problems, cuts fast and clean,  starts up easy.  Just thought I would mention Cdn Tire (the big one) sell premixed gas 50/1 that is echanol free(good stuff) the fire halls use it on all their small engines.  Its not cheep 8 dollars for one can, but it will save your engine. It`s over by the snowblowers in a rack one the floor, one can goes a long way. Thats a tank full.

cool haven't seen that before.  I have one more year with my gas auger before I make the jump to an ion or something similar. I don't mind the premixing but at 31 lbs my gas auger is just too heavy.

Yes I heard good things about the Eskimo Augers.

Does the fuel have any treatment in it .... something similar to Sea Foam.

Anyone recommend mixing something like Sea Foam in with the gas?

I use a product called Trufuel, it comes 40:1,- 50:1 -and 4 stroke.it is already premixed and no ethanol a bit pricey but 2 cans last all winter.I get it at Home Hardware and I think CTC carries it also.A can stays fresh for over 2 years after opening and 5 years unopened. You do not have to put anything in it for summer storage.
