New to the Worcester Area ..
« on: Oct 24, 2016, 08:56 PM »
I'm new to the Worcester area,  can anyone point me in the direction of good ponds to fish say within a 20 mile radius or so of Worcester?  Not looking for your honey holes or anything just places that are decent to try.  I release all Bass .. if that matters to you,   Thanks.

Go to the Mass Wildlife web page and click on pond maps.  Get info on species, structure access.

Mass wildlife is in the town of Westborough(rt9&495). Pond there is so good it called A-1 site((mill or stump pond). 20 yrs ago it could go up against any Florida lake for #5lbs.+ fish. Now only good. (2-2.5 pound average) great for ice fishing but you only see half the lake ice fishing to heavily wooded and shallow to fish the back. Nice place to start though.

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad.

I live in Worcester area too. I am free most Saturdays after hunting season. I get around quite a bit, if it has ice I will travel. PM me if you want to walk on water.
