Hey guys,

I'm hoping for a better season than last year!!! Let's get our predictions in

I am thinking 3rd week of December we will have first fishable ice. Would be nice to have an early and long ice season!!

When there's ice, "I'm a drillin!" When there's not, "I'm a sad!" It all depends on the wind nowadays but I'm hoping for a better year than last...... The entire U.S. Got the short end of the ICE last year! Do that ICE DANCE GUYS and GALS!!!

We had ice on Christmas a few years ago. Does anyone remember what year that was? Wonder what the chances are.
I hear if you buy yer kids a bicycle for Christmas it will snow and freeze good. But never buy them ice skates because then the lakes will never freeze.

With tonight's wind chill we could have some ice tomorrow. I might take a ride up to Budd to scout it out.

LOL!!!! I was there this morning! No ice boaters or Canadian Geese to speek of! Nor is there any ice fishing report........ I must say the water looked rather clean! No green hue at all!!!

Took the boat out yesterday and water temps were still 49-50 degrees. Considering its going to be in the 50's and 60's all week its going to be a while before we get ice around here. I think its going to be another bad ice year, maybe we'll be on the ice the middle of January if we're lucky

The skinny water in Lake Hopatcong was 39 degrees on Saturday. Main lake was 44. Keep em crossed guys!

I'll be the trees till the ice comes,still haven't taken any of the bucks I'm after so no rush here,but I did get the gas auger ready just in case!!

Checked a small pond today completely locked up but not
Fishable ice. Will be gone after the rain tonight. Christmas week is not looking good for long range forecast. It changes everyday though so let's see what happens

I predict people will be out in a few days based on the forecast from tonight until Saturday. Monday and Tuesday look good but then there is that Sunday rain smack dab in the middle of it. Ugh. I'm gonna sit back and try to stay away from following long range forecasts because they will only drive you insane. 😡

This happens every year! Few good, cold days for ice making followed by a rainy day just as some of your spots are reaching the safe point!
