Welcome to Grand Rapids!  You ever want to fish let me know or send me a PM.  I don't get out as much as I like to but always enjoy the company.  You will find most guys around here are pretty good guys.

I live in Muskegon. Keep in touch and we can get out on either White Lake or Muskegon Lake for perch and walleye, as well as pike. Maybe even closer to you on Gun Lake for some smelt. I have a complete set up including an 8x8 Argo so you only need to worry about tackle for yourself.

I'm usually fishing solo, happy to have some company.  Typically out on weekends in the morning, feel free to hit me up for a trip to anyplace within an hour or so of GR.
Keep the front two between the snowbanks.

Don't wanna hijack, but I'm also a newbie to the west side. Currently working in Muskegon. Looking for some local knowledge for the lakes in the area.

I've got all my own gear and I'll bring brats and beer  ;D

Not a problem. The more the merrier. Hopefully we have an outstanding year of ice. I fish Muskegon Lake a lot as well as White Lake. I travel for work, so I could be out any day weekend or week day.

Best place to fish in Grand Rapids is the drainage ponds of River Town mall.

I can take you, unless your closer to somewhere else.
I caught a fish once!

Tank81 I'm just south of you in Middleville. I try to go out as much as I can once the ice starts. Maybe I will see you out on the ice.
