Sitting here waiting for ice season to arrive, I thought I'd bring up some early fond memories of my ice fishing adventures.
Went back to my first post on IceShanty, and found this was my first photo ever posted back in 2010:
The photo is of my friend F.R.E.D. who really go me into ice fishing in the first place. It was a great day out on Barton's Cove on the Connecticut River out in Gill, MA on January 30, 2010. It was the annual Barton's Cove gathering, and I met a ton of great guys. It really introduced me to the brotherhood of ice fishing, and the thrill of the chase. We didn't land any pike that day, but it made me want to try again the next weekend.
So, if you'd like --- go back to find the first photo you posted here on Ice Shanty, and tell us a little about that day in history. Fun way to start gearing up for ice season!
