Anyone use a lithium 12 volt jump pack on the ice, small in size  light weight, cheap insurance in the event some thing happens.

I don't think those a built for a lot of charge cycles..

But I could be wrong, and they might actually be the ultimate power source for sonar and shanty lighting needs..

My first question would be how many amp hours are they good for?

I keep one aboard my sxs and have not had to use it. The Yamaha dealer here uses one to start ATVs when it's really cold here. He claims the size I have will start a full size vehicle several times and the larger size will start a diesel picjup. I think it's a good thing to have along on the ice.

Those units are designed for giving you a very high discharge but they won't do it for very long. The lithium ion battery that is used is very small. They're meant to be used as a battery boost only, they won't run an ice shack lighting system for very long.
If you want to see the inner working of the unit look here.

Jump start a dead atv battery if needed or put life back into a cell phone is my intended use.

Most of those sport a 17ah SLA battery and a built in charger. They'll run your depth finder and lights for  a good long time. A little weighty with all the optional stuff, but they'll work.

The one I have will jump start an engine, charge a cell phone and operate as a flashlight or strobe. Including the case and all the attachments it isn't any larger than my tablet and probably weighs 1.5 lbs. I keep it in the glove compartment of my sxs.
