With in 2-3 hours of Bangor- where to fish in February? where to stay?

Looking for a place go fishing in February. We went to St AGatha last February and only got 2 salmon and a TON of yellow perch over 4 days.
Looking for some advice on where to go this year. NOT perch fishing!!!
Also advice on where a party of 8-10 could find a place to stay that has a reasonable price and is CLEAN.
We'd like to go 2-3 hours from Bangor. Two is better.
Thanks to those who answer this post.

Moosehead up to Rockwood over to Kineo check accommodations on line or as your other post says Greenland Cove on East Grand and Cold Stream but any of them can have no fish days.

Agreed. There are no fish days unfortunately. I appreciate any feedback on where to go this winter in February.
Thanks for your advice!
I just hope we get ICE by February! Last year was so discouraging! But I have my hopes up for this season of HARD water!

You did pretty good then, don't post where you fished or the spot will get burned out.

East Grand is awfully slow these days, and with the poor ice conditions, slush and now new regs, I'd go to Moosehead.

The Belgrades offer up a wide variety of good fish.

I used to rent various camps on the Belgrade lakes when my kids were younger.
Which one would you suggest?
