whats new for 2016/2017 meaning new gear???

Thanks Monticatgeek. I guess what I was wondering was will that be somewhat similar to the old trap-link system they used on the older fishtrap/suitcase style that utilized the traplink system? I know it most likely isn't a round type of linkup, but just wondering how big, i.e. can you move freely between the two houses? Also, this thought just came to mind, but can you link more than 2 houses together?

what I have shared with you is from looking at the new catalog and seeing it on the clam web page. I haven't had a chance to see it in person yet but will get to on Oct 7th. I would see it sooner if I wanted to go to the MN state fair and fight all the people. didn't sign up to work there just for that reason.

I see you are over in Wisconsin. If you don't mind driving over to Minnesota you will be able to see the Kenai Pro Thermal Stealth at the following shows : The Thorne Brothers Fish House Mod get together in the end of September, then at the Hard water expo. these are both in Blaine, MN and then there is the largest ice fish show of the year, the St Paul Ice Fishing Show. last but not least there is also the show at Milwaukee the week after the St Paul show. these show generally have sales of 10% off the price of the houses at the various vendors that sell there.

That is one sharp looking shack!!

The blazer looks a lot like my fx100, blue with a black roof.. Which is really an improved take on the fish trap. Kinda funny that Clam found the need to copy another company's take on a shelter that is a copy of their own...  I like both companies and own one of each.. But if you remove the bench from the FX100, it's lighter, twice as thick fabric, taller sides on the tub, with the wind breaker option, and a wide enough fishing area for two walleye rigs and a hole between em for the vex.. I'm actually not sure what Clam was thinking coming out with the Blazer.. I could see a niche filled if it was available for maybe $175, but it looks like the same price as the Shappell version...

I was just looking back , a few years ago clam had a shack with a black top plus the link , these days everyone borrows a feature that someone used or has , but don't forget who had the first flip , I believe genz sold the rights to clam in 1992 but I might be mistaken ,

Why they ditched the black roof for a silver one is beyond me...

I'm thankful for any and all innovations available to us today...

I grew up with Clam, and for that reason I'll always pull for them too ..

I just seen a video from one of the other Clam Pro Staff members that he took at the Minnesota State fair when he was working the booth today. I was wrong about the new kenai Pro Thermal Stealth. it does come with the light bar and the over head mess pouch and battery bracket. this was not listed in the catalog but there has been errors before with the catalog, why they don't get caught before printing is beyond me. so with that stuff added I can see now why the MSRP is $399.99

The old JM came with a battery bracket , and 3 lights 2 facing out and 1 back into the tub , I thought it was great so I'm thinking the stealth should be a great set up

New Eskimo 2it...looks like only the top and backside of it is insulated though. I know a few people were waiting for a full thermal version, but take a look anyway if you got the time.
