Darren Ball Ice Shanty has a sister web site MY Fish Finder.com dedicated to open water fishing. You may wish to become a member of that web site ,I think you Will find more activity over there this time of year. Also possibly might be a report in the NY.lakes & conditions board on Canadarago Lake. Sorry I can not be of more help I live in the south eastern part of our state (mid Hudson river valley) .

try the north end,the west side by the camp grounds? north of the nys ramp under water island
