Ice rod case for 4 inline setups
« on: Jul 05, 2016, 09:41 PM »
I have 4 inline setups that I would like to buy a rod case to use this winter. The rods are from 26-36 with CG8's and Black Betty's. Any recommendations on a hard case that will protect these setups and fit the inline
Reels without breaking down handles.

x 2 on the arrow case. I have longer inline rods 48 to 52 inches I use a shot gun case. As do many in these parts. Mine cost around $10 bucks. Plus it is fun when some see the case come out. They say why the gun? My nephew likes to say get to close and find out.

I store my vest and hoodie ...gloves etc in the center ...my friend jokes it's my golf bag ...the zippered side pouches can hold a lot of tackle/utility boxes or other items ...good luck with your search and choice.

I have not had good luck using anything that like a sleeve or a tube. Have broke two rods tips doing this even after i thought i gave the line enough slack. By not putting the hook in a keeper then you have the issue of the hook/lure getting tangled etc. dont make this decision harder than it is. I use a hard gun case made for something like an ar 15 with pluck foam. I get 7 combos in it and its tough as heck for 60 bucks. Just my 2 cents.

Used this gun case with removable foam squares to get a perfect fit for 6 rods and my tackle. $56 shipped to the door

I've got an Otter hard case and it works fine with inline reels.
