I miss fishing the hardwater

Sure do miss ice fishing! Fun to have the boat out but looking forward to this winter.

I'm with you. I'm out with the kayak every week and having a blast but I do miss walking on water. Especially after the rotten season last year. I'm hoping for a foot of ice and calm breezes ;D

I'm heading down to NC next week but when I return I'm going to start improving the shanty for this upcoming winter.  Looking at adding some rattle reels, electric jigging machine or two.  Also going to purchase an under water camera.  Not sure what one to get but I'll do my homework before buying one.  Lots to do and before you know it we'll be out there...

I hit up Lake Michigan for some perch-but I would still rather catch them through the ice!!!
All between 11-14 inches. They where delicious!!!!

I'm just tired of idiots asking me where on the lake they are are how to get where they are going! Trump needs to add a wall between NH and Mass!

Yup, im sick of this warm weather personally. Not a big fan other than driving by the beach.....  :woot:

Soon I'm taking a trip to AZ where it is well over 100F. The other week my brother told me it was 128F and didn't get below 100F at night and that was in June. They say it's a dry heat, Great! It's still waaaay too hot even if dry.

Pretty sure this snowman is gonna be a puddle of wetness.

Don't go there...I've been fishing cow Hampshire  for over 50 years.. and never once have I needed anyone's assistance.. wish I could say same about some of the locals that should have known better as I winched them out of trouble or cleaned up THEIR MESS... I'll leave it alone from here and not mention the ones from inland NH that invade my striper waters at night...

We all can agree we cant wait for some hard water.. see you all in the fall!

You tell em Roccus!  :) I happen to know it's all true in your case.

BUT...I doubt very much that you're drooling for hard water right now?
I feel confident that those line siders are keeping you content for the duration.  ;D

I too am counting down the days and was looking through a few ice fishing photos and thought I'd share. One of me and my Pops and one of our little shack(that I'm now noticing looks like the IceShanty Forum Logo).

I can't wait. I have this image in my mind, a dream. I'm sitting on a bucket on the ice in the middle of a lake somewhere. It's a bit blustery and overcast and then a light snow moves in. I can't see anything past my last tip up. I hear the muffled purr of an auger to my right, shortly after the ice pops to me left. I know there are other guys out there but I can't see anything past my last tip up.

god I need some ice.
