The small inland lakes are still OK.  Not enough ice for lake trout on Superior for me this year.

Will be back out tomorrow.

To all still ale to ice fish enjoy yourselves and be safe out on the ice . Thank you to all who have posted photographs . Drifter/Dave hope it is just the photo but looks like you need to remember the sun screen next trip.

How thick is your ice up there Drifter?

We never really had a winter here in VT this year, ice fishing season was wicked short. It has felt like spring for about the last 2 months......thanks for the pictures  @)

Not very thick this year, been very warm so we only have about 3 feet or so.   :whistle:

28" on the nose, shade under 10lb. Three in this range this day, lots of smaller eaters. Lake Winnipeg has put out hundreds this winter like this, about a dozen in the13-15 pound range.

That's incredible keep up the good work and the water clean of the nasty critters. The critters are now in our lakes here in Madison.

I could probably walk the plank and get on some ok ice, but I'm getting the boat ready now we have open water in some shallow lakes with current. I might wade a river next weekend for steelhead.

Worse year ive ever seen for ice...fished the last weeknd of february and it was iffy gettin on...we usually have safe nice into end of march ..is i type the lakes are pretty well wide open...ice wasnt safe til 2 weeks into season ans was gone a month before.the end...i didnt even burn a tank of gas in my auger...most years its clowevto bottoming out twrd march...most icei saw this year was 14inches

So Jealous...March 9 2015 I was on 2' ice on Lake Erie catching slob walleye, March 9 2016 I was playing golf in 70 degree weather. I bought the last Icefishing rod at my brothers outdoor store the other day...I didn't need it but it was 20% off. The girl at checkout said "it's a little late for Icefishing" I told her there's always next season, I'm always thinking ice!

Suddenly the season's over in Whitehorse!  A high of 17C lasted well into the evening yesterday.  We still talked about it, but we're giving it up.

We were jigging burbot in this area with zero overflow 10 days ago!

18-24 inches of ice in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Walleye season open for  few more weeks yet. Bass is open all year so lots of ice fishing left.
