Another trip to the cabin done today.
Got most of my roofing out but could only fit 3 of the 4 crates on the trailer.
Will have to get the last crate up next weekend along with a load of siding.  ;)

Drifter Glad to see that they plowed an ice road for you to use instead of you having to pay to have one done.

Seeing that roofing laying there makes me hope you tied it down in some way even though it is on the back side of the cabin. I watched a pile of 3 foot wide aluminum ceiling sheeting go flying when the wind came up at a construction site. There was not much left that was useable.

Didn't get any hauling done this weekend unfortunately.
I had 6,000#'s of siding ready to go but had an issue with my sled trailer a few K from town and had to return to make repairs.   :'(

I got it all repaired and am ready to go now.
Going to take Thursday off to get this load out to the cabin.
Temps are warming up this week.

Ha, clever under statement, Dave:  "An issue".      A fierce cannibalistic wheel bearing.    :woot: :roflmao:

I best not ask what was uttered when you saw the cause of all the odd vibration.       ;D

It wasn't nearly that bad when I originally found out.
The outer bearing was toast but the rest was still there.
The journey home finished it off.

MEH!!!
Stuff happens. It's all fixed up and ready to go already.
The Air Stream belongs to my landlord. He is rebuilding it slowly but surely.
All that Hardie board was hand loaded onto the trailer.
I put down 3 skids to support it and get it off the deck of the trailer.

Dave,   back in the day, hand-loaders were $22 per day.

Times have probably changed a bit.      ;D

Dave....sorry to see the set back from the trailer issue, but glad you made short work of that! Like everyone else on here during the off season, can't wait to see what those gifted hands of yours are going to produce on that cabin...best of luck with everything!!

Spent the last couple of days catching up after last weekends issues.
Had more siding on the trailer than I thought. There was about 7,500#'s worth on that load.
Took longer than it should have but the temps warmed up a bunch and the trail was mushy so I could only take 240#'s per run.
Reloading the trailer tomorrow with the last of my roofing and another 3,000#'s of siding.
That will bring my total for the year after this weekend @ 17,000#'s!!!
Hopefully get one more load in next weekend and I'll be done until ice out.
Time to ready the boat!!!!!   ;D

I see it was a rough day ~ those zeros are heavy.      ;)2  ( Did you carry 2400#'s per run?)

Great idea readying the boat.

As always, great, enjoyable photography, Dave.

Thank you for the photos and update, glad the trailer repair was an easy one and it is back in service. I hope you are not to sore after all the unloading/loading of roofing and siding . May the ice roads last so you can get the rest of siding out to the cabin.

Got the last of the roofing and siding out to the cabin today. All the heavy lifting is done for now. Just a light load next weekend and then it's chill until ice out. Total weight hauled out this spring, 22,000#'s of back breaking work.    ;D
