FL-12

   I know this subject has been brought up before.  Is there someone out there can help me make up my mind on a Vexilar  fl-8 or fl-12 ? I am thinking that the 12 has the flat screen, looks like a bigger screen then the 8. I am looking at the fl-12 /w 12 degree cone for $329@C___ + I have about  $ 100 in C____ points. Any input would be helpful      Thanks WB

Pros on the FL12 ...low power(great for shallow less than 10 fow) ...bright screen ...Cons if the sun in at your back there is quite a bit of glare due to the flat screen ...cloudy days or fishing from a shelter not a problem as much. The 12 deg transducer is a great all around choice .

I like mine its great on power shallow, or deep.

I have an FL-8 it works great love it And a friend of mine that I fish with a lot has Fl-12 I wish that I would've spent a little extra money and purchased the FL -12 .

I've have the 12 and happy with it.  On really deep water it has issues I think but it might be just my using it.  Do get the digital battery gauge that also displays the actual depth.  Was well worth the extra money
