First and foremost. I got to say the friendships formed and the fun we have had as a group on our ice adventures is at the top of the pyramid. We are always 1st on the ice and last off. Now Frank, Freddy, Pat, Steve, and myself took the 4.5 hour ride each way to hit Champlain 1 last time this ice season. The weather was great the ice was good at 11" though the shores were a little iffy. The food top notch. The fishing, well lets just say I have never had a day on the ice like this one. We were on in the dark and off in the dark. Flags popping right from the start and never really stopped all day. Freddy started the day with a 9lber. All of us iced over 12 pike each with at least 3 of us coming in at 16 pike each iced. I had to ice 60 if not more pike. On top of that about 10 large mouth up to over 5lbs. a bowfin, a couple pickeral and 30 or so perched jigged up

Now that's a day on the ice

. So glad we decided to make this run. Pa even ice a Bull Frog. Yes a Bull Frog

That was a first for any of us. Now the sun has set on the 2016 ice season way to early but at least it ended with a BANG.

Super job by all, hauling in that load of fish. Having action like that, makes you forget about the distance to travel for a memory of a lifetime. How far up did you go, if you don't mind.

JCHU.. Epic!! I have been going there since 1984 (my junior year of high school) the fishing was like the old days... Your right about the friendship! My uncle would be proud! Had a blast!! Even though we found no structure.... LMFAO.. We found the fish... and Frogs.....
