Some Northern Perch.
« on: Mar 03, 2016, 08:32 PM »
Our Perch adventure turned out not bad today, we were able to get a good feed for a couple families. Not the biggest but a nice average size. In all we had to sort through quite a few to get the eaters good news is  it was shallow water so no issues releasing them. Little backwoods lake of ours.

Couple nicer ones,, my knife is 12"

Bowl full of fresh Perch fillets,, guess whats for supper tomorrow night.

Westerner by birth, Canadian by law, Albertan by the grace of God.

Damn man!  That is pretty awesome.   Nothing wrong with those.   I like the last pic best when all the hard word is done...the good eats!

Congrats!

You can make those fillets boneless in less than a minute each. I hope you cut out the ribs and Y bones.
Gonna get me a 16" Perch this year.

I get too impatient myself.  Maybe I'm not going it good enough.  I do also find that perch off the bone seem to be the tastiest.  But the wife hates bones so I "sometimes" take them out :)
