Yes Sweetwater is accessible all winter. (not that its winter anymore) They plow it and you can go down to the campground area/parking area. There is an outhouse. It has some kokanee and trout. As you probably know the fishery in GWS had a kidney disease and trout stocking around the area was down last fall. But Sweetwater is a fun ice fishing area, if you clean your fish on the spot a local eagle is likely to grab the innards. Other area places are Sylvan Lakes (check out the free Colorado States Park Pass at Rifle Library) and Gypsum Ponds. Good Luck.
