11 mile gave up a few today

Fished west side 5 am till 2. Wind picked up quite a bit. Really icey first time this year had to wear creepers. First ten mins right on bottom 6 ft took night crawler on the jaw jacker. 18 inches. 1130 white tube with minnow head. Fought like a 6 pounder. Ended up being 3# 20 inches. Chunky for 20". Lost something big on white tube with minnow head. Water was mucked  out didn't get s look at him. Might have been a pike. Doubled my med heavy rod over. Screaming tight drag. Went to pull vex up and he wrapped around it. Enough to get off. Bummed. If it was a trout it was a bigun. All in all a good day. Caught Two lost two. Ice is silly thick. 26".

Need some smoker trout! Crazy weather - early ice out. Didn't get out as much as expected this year. All work and no play... SUCKS!
