I have the Marcum LX-5 and love it. It's $500 new.

I've got the LX3 Marcum and have used it for years. I liked it so much I bought all my sons LX5s for Christmas one year and they all love them. mike

Man this never ends. Lx5 or lx6 on sale. A comparable vex wont do you wrong either, but im a marcum fan. Wouldnt waste my time with anything besides those two brands for hardwater.

I agree. Plus if you have a boat can use it year round. Plus GPS on it makes it awesome to find specific spots. Got one this year and it's game changer. Has flasher mode but I like the graph with amplitude scope better
