Goofy weather
« on: Feb 16, 2016, 01:30 PM »
Saw ducks and geese flying north this morning? I've had a boat in Keyhole March 10 , years ago and 20th last year. Might beat that record. I've see Glendo open in February before and had boat on it and Alcova in Feb. Looking early this year.
In the memory of "Team Lighting" Fish ON!
No one ever says,"Man that fish tastes small.
Thank you Lord for thinkin bout me. I'm alive and doin fine!!!!!!

I'm excited to get my boat out, but I'm not done ice fishing yet because it has been so good the last couple times out. I just hope it is a quick transition between ice fishing and open water.

In Pinedale we went about a month without getting close to above freezing, many days well below 0.  Now it is barely getting down to freezing at night, highs in the mid-40s.

Average the 2 spells together and it is probably pretty close to "normal"  ;D

definitely weird how fast it flipped! negative temps to 50 degrees seemingly in 2 days.

When hell freezes over, I’ll ice fish there too!

These high winds and high temps lately have not been good for the ice at all! We had such a good December and January for ice and then February quickly warmed up! Long term forecast doesn't very good for the ice in southwest Wyoming. Was thinking about going to the Gorge or Fontenelle tomorrow but high wind warnings are now posted. I'll see what it is like in the morning.

not even getting to freezing here at night, 44 this morning at 430 am, this and the wind will make the ice go fast, supposed to have up to 70 mph winds today and tomorrow so tie everything down that you want to keep.

I'm getting tired of seeing the windsock icon in the horizontal position, signifying high winds, whenever I check the weather forecast!!!
