Trout Lake, Lake George area
« on: Feb 12, 2016, 10:44 AM »
So I searched thru 15 pages and couldn't find anything on Trout lake so

Has anyone been out there this season? Made it out several times last year with minor luck(a few bows and perch) but a few weeks ago ice was only 3" so I did go up. Looking to go up on Monday and looking to see if anyones been out/hooked up/ heard anything.

thanks!

we usually stop at the bait shop on I believe it is rt9 on our way up. Im in westerlo, so as you know, the trip from westerlo/Greenville up there isn't a short one to stop in all the bait shops prior

thanks for the tips.

Sorry RAT, Andersons has been closed for maybe 15 yrs, Fish307 in Lake George should be able to help you out.

Yes, something about not paying NYS sales taxes from what I remember was Anderson's downfall.

There is also The Outdoorsman in Diamond Point that you will drive by on 9N.

Yes, ditto on what Capt.JJ said. The Outdoorsman run by Gary Nelson is the place to go on info. on Trout Lake and what use, bait, tackle, jigs ,etc. Very nice guy has helped us out a lot through the years.
