If you just want to catch something here, run tip ups with shiners, you have a pretty good chance at with pickerel, along with the occasional bass, and the possibility of a pike. Jigging seems to be hit or miss here, although there are some nice sized quality crappies, perch, and gills in there if you can get on them, a flasher is a huge help. I like to fish between the island and the fishing pier, the channel seems to swing closer to shore in this area. I've never ice fished the lowest part of the lake below the pier, but some guys say they do well there. Good luck.
