farm ponds

i have fished some farm ponds this week,some bass,gills perch most all were C/R
but i did keep a few.i have some photos ,yes i had the camera this time,
got most on the north side with jigs[black and white] and spikes
photos next

I need to score a few farm ponds to fish on! Maybe I will work on it over the summer. Just the phrase "Farm Pond" is flat out cool

things to settle down

now after about 1/2 hour i started to fish,some of the gills were so small i could not believe
they could get there mouth open that wide.here is a photo of fishing for gills

to me and maybe only me,most farm ponds needs to have some of the fish taken out
i always work with the owners as to what they want

Looks and sounds like a good day, thanks for sharing.

How did the size of the bluegill compare to years past from the same bodies of water? I wonder if winter kill was worse last year with the harsh winter temps we had

some of the smaller ponds were hit hard with winter kill because of the thick ice and no light
this does a number on the oxygen, only little ones left, but they will get big
