A few pickerel.

Went out today and landed 9 pickerel, 19 to 21 inches... Kept a couple for pickerel patties... ;D ;D





   Thought this one was a monster..



  Even got my friends daughter whos Bday is tomorrow (she reminded us every 5mins) in on the action..

She looks Very happy!!! I cant wait till my daughter is a little older (only 17 months) to share time on the ice with her.

Nice going Raquettedacker, those pickerel are neat looking fish.

We don't have any of those in this area.
Are they as aggressive as pike, or a bit more timid? ???

    I think for there size they fight better than a pike of the same size...  I have caught them very close to 30 inches...

From what I have read about them, a 30" is a dandy big fish, way to go. @)
