northern indiana?

heard the ice didnt go away up in angola, can anyone tell me if Wall opened up at all?

I definitely would advise against fishing wall this year as there are springs in there and it is sketchy at best most years.

like I said most years. Last year was an exception heck a lot of the old timers is talk to told me that was the most ice they've ever seen on certain lakes. I'm just saying be careful there.

I was out there in someone else's truck last year.  And the same on Coldwater.

I think all natural lakes have some springs in them.  The worst that I know of is 7 sisters in the Trine rec.  That lake makes me nervous.

Seen one guy on the main lake all by himself,must have done ok because he was back on Sunday. This weekend should be good.

One of my uncles used to work there when that was still the old church camp.  That was his comment about that lake too.

On sunday when I drove by Coldwater I saw half a dozen people around the south east side of the island area. Doesn't mean it was safe ice..just saying we saw people fishing. It wa pretty crazy to see the difference in lake to lake on a 5 hr drive north. Even up there one lake would be 90 percent open and another would have good ice. It was also crazy to find lakes with 8 inches of ice without a single person out fishing. We were blown away by that. It was a plenty change of pace
