I'd really like to see thaqt thing on the scale, because there is no way that thing is 8lbs. I believe it to be much bigger or heavier than that I am serious that is a pig. I keep looking at it trying to see how in the world it is only 8lbs.

The rainbow was weighed at a local store on a deli scale so id say it's pretty accurate, although it does look much heavier then my old mans 7.28lb laker that won the boat derby 36.25 inches long and 7.28lbs

Unless this lived in the ocean for a few years and came to this lake to spawn, I don't think you can classify it as a "steelhead"

Definitely a NH Trophy Fish.
8lbs could be in the ball park.

If they are/were willing to weigh it? Market scales are supposed to be certified and read proper weight. (If You think about it? They charge you by the lb.) So if that's what the scale read? It's most likely close to accurate.

It's very tough to tell from a simple picture. Perception makes a Big difference. Without açcurate measurements (length/girth) it's really just a guess... and even then without an accurate scale there's still a margin of question.
