Started a little late This morning,wanted good light to check ice conditions.
Overall ice was decent,8-10" mostly white over 4-5" solid black,with a nice slush layer under the snow.
Fortunately,I didn't have to hunt them down, marked fish in first hole,so just Swiss chzd a ten foot radius and lucked out!! Love it when that happens.
Caught a bunch of shorts,and kept these for the freezer.

Very Nice. I did the same. Cleaned them up and gave the fillets away. Eagles are feeding on the remains.

Awesome catch man! Cool to see the artificials are successful. Were they picky about color at all? Hoping to get on some crappie and white perch  by the end of the season myself.

Thanks. They were loving the pink sexi shad today!! The bluegill bubbling shaker picked off two,but mostly it was ignored.
