Thanks, I got the rod out of the trash at a local pond. Put size 7 saltwater hook, filled rod with 2 part epoxy and broke off barb. It has come in handy more then once.

The profile is great. Would save me some time going shoulders deep. Going to get this together thanks for the build info and I might have a broken rod or two in the man cave  :)

Nice! I saw an old timer do a similar thing with a broken golf club but it was for horseshoes so he didnt have to bend over to pick em up.
Fishing....A jerk on one end and a jerk on the other.

Gaff is 30" we didn't weigh but guess around 8. Wanted a quick healthy release. She kicked right off. ;D
