Anyone want to share where they think we can find good ice this weekend? I may have to take a road trip to find good ice but im willing!

Probably best to wait until after all the rain from tonight and tomorrow passes to ask that question. Hopefully it survives in many places, but we will see.

Ice is crap all the way up through crawford county, I tried to get on yesterday b4 the rain and it would not hold my weight. I am not even sure that a ladder would help to get on. The whole lake was crapping out.... The next few days look a little better and next week looks even better but time will only tell... This weekend may not happen though.

There is a tourney scheduled at Canadhota this weekend. Not sure if it still on. Call Timberland bait shop for info.

Yesterday I checked three lakes I fish and the shorelines are shot. If we get the all the rain they're asking for you're wasting your time trying to get on, unless you like getting wet.

Do your chores and Valentines duties this weekend. Watch the Super Bowl, and be ready to fish next weekend.

Next weeks weather is suppose to be cold, and it should give enough time to stabilize the good ice.

The Delaware should be running nice and high this weekend, if you know a good spot where the Walleye get pushed to shore in high water.

sounds like there is still got ice at moraine/Arthur Im determined to find ice this weekend even if I have to drive to the other side of the state. im in SW PA.

Take a life jacket and a change of clothes!! Ice is going to be sketchy if you can get on.

u can forget the ice in pa for now at least. Check the forums for michagan same problem unsafe ice. upper peninsula also wait another week or two and hope or get your boat ready!!!!!!! even if theres 4 inches say at aurthur its gota be soft and not 4 everywhere!!!!!!! erie is totally open water!!!! pyma wasn't that safe even before the warm up in my humble opinion. maybe next week or after all we can hope for.

I'm gonna hit a trout stream this weekend. The ice here in clearfield county is pretty rough on all the lakes. Way too rough for my comfort anyways.

With the coming cold next week our lakes in the Northeast will bounce back and we'll be back in business by next weekend for sure. I was talking a few guys that checked some places and most did pretty well with the rain and warm temps. I checked out four other private places I fish and there was very little water on the ice and only one had a bad shoreline.

Plan on going to Hunters Lake today just to check ice and maybe drop a jig if ice is good. Plan on going to Hunters Lake or Bear Wallow pond for the day Monday and possibly this weekend as well.

If you just want to ice fish somewhere this weekend, most of the bigger name lakes are shot, but I've heard some of the Tioga lakes are still good, along with Canoe Creek, and probably a few you'll hear mixed reports on.. As someone whose been in this year, all I can tell ya is just be extremely careful, have your picks ready just in case.

or if ya know where (ie, you scouted it the past few days), ya can ice fish it like JMiser and myself did this morning

Canoo creek in holodaysburg has good ice about 7 plus pan fish bite is great unlike last year.
