Yep, sun was intense this afternoon.  46 degrees, 1/4" of rain, and 40+ mph winds will do some damage tomorrow as well.

Packed my ice stuff away yesterday. Can't get out again for a couple weeks and with the forecast for my area can't see getting on what I would consider safe ice. Good news is the long poles are ready for action.

Not a quitter, just leaving good enough alone for now ,when the ice turns to toast(there are no fish swimming in Indiana worth getting a wet (arse) over,) had 5" of ice that I could spud right through,

We are going north sunday. They didn't get nearly as warm as us. A few days of 35 and below freezing at night. The 8 inches of snow they are getting tomorrow worries me though. Hope to have 2 straight days of ice fishing. Fingers crossed

Looking at an open water cut down the middle of the lake this morning.. Think I might tap a couple maples and see if I can catch any sap..

No wonder there are open cracks in that ice Joe!!!  Good thing you're skinny, my fat butt would be at the bottom of the lake with that load.

I should have paid attention to my heading
I got past that it was okay but the first 30 feet was a little wet
