Conditions at Aurora
« on: Feb 01, 2016, 07:08 AM »
Hey all,

Wondering if anyone has ice and fishing conditions going on at Aurora Reservoir, I have been fishing the gravel ponds over at chatty with some success but weather and constant pressure has left the ice sketchy and the fish skittish. I've never been to Aurora Reservoir but I figure as long as the ice is good its got to be better than sitting at home.

Thanks for any info

P.S. I've heard poor reports of Chatty's main lake that's why I'm not going there

Haven't been lately, heard some edges were getting soft, and one I think that was going plans on taking a plank to get on ice cap.

Fished Saturday and the edges are soft, but there is a good 5" of clear ice with an inch or two of soft ice on top.  Be careful though, there are some soft spots.
