In case anyone is interested, Blackwell had really great ice on Sunday. I'd say 6-7 inches if not pushing 8. Crappie were active as were the catfish. Saw one guy haul out 4 really nice cats through the ice. The place was packed. Get there early if you want to fish the island. Didn't see anyone having any luck on tip ups but there were plenty of them out there. Good luck.
