Hey everyone I have a friend that needs to get her sled up to the lake on Friday.  She needs to get out to her cabin and will be leaving it at the lodge.  She has been dealing with some health issues and could really use our help.  I have a full trailer going up sat or else I would take care of it.  If anyone can help please get ahold of me thanks everyone.

I also just found out someone put a truck through earlier in the year over on little lake Louise over by grayling creek.  I think a proposal before the BOF to make it illegal to drive a highway vehicle on lakes with groomed trails is in order.

I really don't know much about writing proposals I'm hoping someone with a little better understanding of law can chime in.

Not good, Looks like there will be more trucks going through if they continue to drive on the lake.  Water moves over the shallows in that lake.  No matter how cold it is there will be areas that are unsafe on Lake Louise.

This would not be a subject matter for BOF. "Vehicle" use on lakes is governed by the local Borough, Municipality, State Parks, or Refuge. It depends on who owns the surrounding land.

You won't be laughing when you get one of your Spacebook buddy's killed.  You should be ashamed of yourself.

You call yourself a real alaskan. Real alaskans look out for each others safety and wellbeing. Obviously that's far removed from your etiquette.

Drifter I like the post you put on the other forum about how the more beer you drink the thicker the ice gets.  If I would have been drinking milk I probably would have shot it out my nose.  Luckily I was drinking beer and I don't believe in alcohol abuse so I was able to hold it in.

What a way to run a railroad!  I feel for you Alaskans - nobody wants this kind of stress to go along with their hobby.

Come fish with me in the Whitehorse area.  Of the 7-8 trips I've taken this year, I've seen another snow machine on the ice... four maybe five times?

I saw one group of fishermen on Atlin Lake, but we didn't get too close b/c they were BC residents on the BC side and we were on the Yukon side.

Feeling for y'all after reading this...

we have had a issue w/ trucks going thru here in maine also. people have little common sense nowadays. my bro. saw 4 trucks parked together 30yrs from open water in the thorofare on eagle the other day! we've had a warm winter and have half the ice that we should for this time of year. even a year where we have 3 1/2ft. i wouldn't park there! i wouldn't even go w/ my sled cause of the heavy current! go under in a river you're screwed! these idiots ruin it for everyone else. i wish they would shut the lakes down to trucks and cars.

Just got back from the lake and it was super warm up there.  Trails are nice and smooth still no overflow that I saw but that doesn't mean it ain't there.  Still a good amount of snow on the ice and the best news of all no more trucks on the ice.  Be careful on the Glenn from kings River to alascom dome with the warm temps there is a lot of rock fall.  I almost got hit by falling rocks again so be careful.  One of these days I just know I'm going to get hit by rocks or a damn moose.

So is anyone else going to be up the next few weeks?  It looks like the groomer went out the other day.  I got a report that before the groomer went out that the wind drifted up the lake pretty good.  I guess the north end of Susitna is real bad.  Can anyone confirm my reports.

I was just up there on Sunday. Trails were still well groomed and there was still about 8" of snow on top of the ice. I stayed around the southern end of Lake Louise however.
