Just got back from a truly incredible trip up to cascade this weekend. Ice seemed to be in pretty good shape everywhere we went. The slush monster was a very different story in places I was in slush and water almost to my knee and I'm 6'4"! Anyway we caught too many fish to count this weekend. a pile over 13-14" and one that came in right at 16" and weighed 2.64 lbs! So close to the record but so far at the same time. The fish will make its way to the wall where it can be admired for years to come.

Thanks guys! I'm pretty happy with it for sure. I'm going to try and get back up there in the next 2-3 weeks to get after em again.

Sooo, that's what a perch looks like huh? It's been a long dry spell for me. Congrats for catching such a great fish!

That's an awesome catch!!! I am really trying my hardest to get up there this year. Did you have previous knowledge of the lake or did you just get lucky on your spot?

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it! Ryanveld I have been up a few times before. I just put in the time studying the lake on navionics and kept moving until I figured out what they where doing and followed that pattern staying on the fish. Electronics and being mobile was key. And with everything Lady Luck didn't hurt to have on my side either.

Amazing Perch!!!! I want to go fishing there so bad... I hope the ice lasts maybe I could get down the end of February.
