Island Ice

Just heard from my friend on the island,they were walkin out from the state park on sat...I should be good to go with my quad by sat 23rd...I cant wait for the weekend...greg

The guys that walked out yesterday were guides to check it out. 3 inches is what they had . Open water just west of Green has them worried about the ice growing because of the high West winds.

The west shore has been iced in for days..As for west of green that has no impact on where I fish...We should get some sat photos today...Its on for the weekend...

Stay safe. Talked with 2 of the most experienced guides there and no trips planned till middle of next week. The best ice they both said is 3-4 on the SW corner. West side , the ice is from 1-3 with tons of current.

Im really surprised guides are going that soon..And yes lots of current down there..I don't fish that area...First sat image looked good today...

Fishin has started,guys are off the west shore.I will be there sat eve and fishin sun&mon...CANT WAIT...If you want pics go to island air taxi....greg
