The ice came and then it went,
but not before my hook got sent,
into the roof of the fishes mouth,
it is great to be fishing down south!

While having early ice during the first week of December, our hopes of fishing was dashed by Ole Mother Nature.......but not before a few fish were caught......

Working on the new Bruins training facility in Brighton. Nice and windy up on the roof. All the guys whining about the cold... Not this ice fisherman

Thanks fellas. I would not want to be standing on any roof in that weather either Keith......burr is the word......The good news boys, is that the ice is starting to form in protected coves on the big lake!! Come on laker fishing....

A few fish from today's excursion....many 2-2.5 pound largemouth, some fat yellows and another Rainbow...making 5 for 5 thus far.

A quote from a fisherman: "As always- a great day on the ice thanks to some helpful tips from BIP O******s concerning where to fish! Caught countless perch, 5 nice size largemouth (2-2.5lbs) and a nice rainbow! I also got to try my new Eurotackle Tungsten jig and man do the fish love it! Just simply tip with a small Mummyworm and the fish pounce! Next time though I gotta use it with a vex. Anyways thanks again BIP ******s for all the help you provide to us anglers!"

January 17, 2016 Report:

Brownbaggin and Ben Gallo putting the smack down out there today!

"Great day on the ice with mix bag of species caught. Over 20+ black crappie, 2 rainbows, 3 white perch, 5-7 Lg. Mouth bass, pickerel , yellow perch and to close the day a few gills. Fish caught on a combination of tip ups and jig rods armed with Mummy Worms , PK Lures in 15-28 ' of water."

Jan 18, 2016:

Sorelippin reports a 30 plus fish day, including a pig White Perch and two very nicely colored Rainbow Trout. Wax worms, PK Predators and tip-up combination. Nice catch!
