Today on the West side

Finally got to fish LK Wpg for the first time this season. Had a late start this morning because I had to turn back 5 miles to retreive a few important items like my coffee thermos and lunch  This was also the Yamaha's first maiden voyage on hardwater. The sun was shining, no wind and only -11*C perfect weather to sit outside instead of a shelter. Fished for only 3 hours and landed 6 fish and kept 3. Nothing bigger than 16 inches today but a fellow near me landed a 31.5 incher. I was in 12 feet of water and the ice was 13 inches thick. The good news is that the ramp/road is in great shape and all the slush spots are now frozen over. Saw at least 4 trucks out there today but they didn't venture too far out.
