Drove by Michigan center, Round, Price, Clark and Columbia lakes still iced over as of 4:30. The next test will be the wind hopeful for this coming weekend.

Thanks for the update delta9,  I think if we can keep them covered we'll be good for next weekend.  They have lowered the snow forecast so that helps.  In the meantime might make a trip to houghton or Mitchell,  where would you guys go if you had a choice between those two?  Haven't fished either in years.

Never been to either lake myself. Glad to hear the snowfall might be small, that would be helpful.

Most the Ice on bawbeese in Hillsdale survived I'd think by next weekend we should be iced up around 5 inches if temps stable out and stay in the 20s during the day and drop at night

Stopped at lime today, didn't check ice because I had tennis shoes on, no one fishing either lake though.  Any word on vineyard, Clark etc?

40 and rain on Friday?!? **censored**! Was really hoping I'd be able to get out this weekend but that might put a damper on things.

Hopefully, the extended forecast looks favorable though! The kiddo has basketball and pinewood derby on Saturday so maybe by Sunday there will be enough to get out on.

Did not see it myself but was told the wind got to it and opened some of it back up. But again that's what I was told might get by there tomorrow.

Clarks kept all of the ice it had through the rain over the weekend. 4 days of cold temps. Guess it's time to give it a shot tomorrow. Can't imagine that it wouldn't have at least 4" by tomorrow with the temps we've had. Fished small lake today on 3.5 inches.

Went to Devils south side, snow too deep but open water in middle. Wamplers locked up, little snow on the ice but bettin' tonight's the night. Spudded out on Vineyard and found 2 inches and 4 guys were fishing out from the launch. Allen, Sand, Evans appear locked up but more snow on both. I think tonight's the nght we'll get to 3+"
I like to sit around on the ice doing nothing because my wife won't let me do it at home.

Heading over to Clark to "dog sit" for a friend. Good thing her husky loves to fish with me! Any update from Clark lake?
Funniest thing about ice fishing for me is when people who know nothing about ice activities try to warn me about the dangers of the ice...

At 2:00 today there were about 6 flips on the East end of Clark. On the West end out from the park, the ducks have about an acre of water open.
