Checked a few lakes yesterday, north lime skimmed over, south wide open still.  Heading out to check some others now.

Checked 8 more today (retirement is so cool) all but 2 appeared to have skimmed over last night ( no snow).  Think we're gonna be a while, the weekend weather does not sound promising.  Visited..... Lime ( north and south) round, farewell, pine hill, vineyard, Clark, crisbell, skiff.  None looked ready to me.

Thanks for the reports. was hoping to do a check Thursday afternoon myself. I'm impressed clark is skimmed over. Was it all the way across? Hoping to hear about the bays on Columbia, heard that Monday it was all open.

Clark looked iced over as far as I could see,  but I was only on east end, can't be MUCH ice as it was wide open on Monday.  Although we did get down to 8 or 9 degrees last night.  I'll be checking every other day or so and will keep you posted, will look at Columbia tomorrow.

I think I saw a shack on a pond East of Lake Columbia on Hewitt Rd. Might have been a duck blind. Just had a glimpse.

I'm about 45 min west of Jackson. I stopped by my favorite spot today shocked to see two guys out on the ice, tearing up some slab gills and crappie. Looked too sketchy for me to be out there and they said there was 2-2 1/2 inches of ice. Drove by another nearby lake and seen two more guys pretty far out there as well.

Vandercook Lake is skimmed over.  Brown's Lake is almost completely skimmed over.  There was open water near the inlet on Brown's Lake.

Hey tank81,  I was at vineyard on Tuesday, it looked to me that it had skimmed over Monday night.  I'll try and get there today to see what's going on.  Any luck on the mill pond?

Never made it out to Devils but my aunt lives on it. Always heard it was great fishing. What do you guys target out there?

Clear lake skimmed like the rest, brills still has open water.  Hopefully we can keep the ice we have until next week, a cold snap is coming!

One more fish, always do good on the gills and crappies. Still trying to find someone to show me the night bite on crappies. I have seen a lot of pike, but most are small.

Devils?  Is the entire lake locked up?  If so, how much ice was there on thursday?

Thanks.
