This is from another thing I am a part of. This was taken on Sunday I believe. I haven't personally gone to check because I live in Des Moines but the comments from this picture prove its legit.

didn't check west ramp but looked at the north ramp after I left Moorland, didn't drill but it looks real thin and the wind out of the south looked like it was chipping away at it..... talked to a buddy who tried fishing it last night and he said he was sitting on 2.5" and felt the ice start moving when the first breeze started, stay safe!

The eastern half of it has about 6" on it, if you push west and cross the middle it supposedly goes down to 2.5" real quick, trout weren't biting while I was there but the little perch were welcoming

off the south boat ramp i would guess is fishable walked out about 20-30 yards didnt check thickness but it looked fishable, also the shorline by the spillway not right in front of it, but on both sides didnt look bad at all either.

it probably needs a little more time.  that being said, i bet there were 20 or more people by the north boat ramp, fishing on about 3 inches of ice.  bluegill bite looked good though,  quite a few decent fish on the ice.
